懷氏海馬 White's Seahorse


懷氏海馬為輻鰭魚綱海龍魚科的成員之一，主要居住於澳洲東岸和索羅門群島較淺海域。與大部分種類的海馬相同，雌懷氏海馬會透過輸卵管，將卵產在雄海馬腹部的孵卵囊中，三週後約可孵出150至200隻海馬寶寶。

在澳洲，從昆士蘭到新南威爾斯都有懷氏海馬的身影，然而這片綿延1500公里的原生海域恰好也是人口最密集的地區，各種船隻在沿岸停靠下錨，嚴重破壞海馬的棲息環境。

為了保育海馬，研究人員在外海投下可降解的鐵籠作為「人工旅館」來保護脆弱的幼海馬。當海馬長大後，鐵籠的鐵條也差不多開始分解了，海洋有機生物會開始攀附在結構上，形成適合海馬的棲息之處。

Ｑ：什麼是熨燙刺繡？

刺繡後有背膠，可使用熨斗將刺繡燙於衣物、帆布袋、帽子......等處。使用步驟如下：

1. 取下背面固定用綠色黏土
2. 將熨燙貼放置於固定位置後，先覆蓋一層手帕厚度的布，避免刺繡及衣物因高溫受損
3. 將熨斗調至最高溫，按壓熨燙30秒以上，直至邊角完全貼合表面
4. 待熨燙刺繡冷卻後即可使用

＊不可使用蒸氣熨斗
＊勿燙印於尼龍、絲綢、防水材質、毛衣、含羽絨之衣物
＊勿讓兒童獨自操作


亦可搭配棲息地帆布包，將喜歡的動物熨燙在生態圖中，創造屬於自己的一幅畫。
