紐芬蘭狼 Newfoundland Wolf


紐芬蘭狼曾生活在加拿大東岸的紐芬蘭島，是北美第一種滅絕的狼。成年紐芬蘭狼體型巨大，身長長達兩米、體重約70公斤，全身雪白，被譽為「夢幻之狼」。

19世紀初，英國殖民者消滅了紐芬蘭島原住民貝奧圖克人後，以保護馴鹿不受狼獵捕為由，以一頭五英鎊的價碼懸賞捕殺紐芬蘭狼。除了以槍獵殺以外，人們將一種名為番木鱉鹼的毒藥注入馬屍，再引誘紐芬蘭狼去食用，導致無數紐芬蘭狼被毒殺，也使其他肉食性野生動物遭受波及。

1911年，世上最後一隻紐芬蘭狼被槍擊斃，而遠在大海彼端的英國，人們正為「夢幻之船」鐵達尼號的下水歡呼。

Ｑ：什麼是熨燙刺繡？

刺繡後有背膠，可使用熨斗將刺繡燙於衣物、帆布袋、帽子......等處。使用步驟如下：

1. 取下背面固定用綠色黏土
2. 將熨燙貼放置於固定位置後，先覆蓋一層手帕厚度的布，避免刺繡及衣物因高溫受損
3. 將熨斗調至最高溫，按壓熨燙30秒以上，直至邊角完全貼合表面
4. 待熨燙刺繡冷卻後即可使用

＊不可使用蒸氣熨斗
＊勿燙印於尼龍、絲綢、防水材質、毛衣、含羽絨之衣物
＊勿讓兒童獨自操作


亦可搭配棲息地帆布包，將喜歡的動物熨燙在生態圖中，創造屬於自己的一幅畫。
